    How this calculator works

This isn't a guess — it's a wardrobe formula our team uses for our own brand customers. The math:

    • One swim set per ~3 days (rotation gives them time to fully dry)
    • One day dress or cover-up per ~2 days (most pieces re-wear once)
    • Evening outfit count scales with formality: casual = 1 dressier piece, mixed = 1 every 2 nights, dressy = 1 per night
    • Cruises always add a halter maxi (formal night) and a polished co-ord set
    • Honeymoons add one statement caftan and one mini for sundowners
    • Bachelorettes add a coordinated set + one bold-print mini for the group photo
    • Trips 11+ days assume one mid-trip laundry refresh (fewer pieces than the math would otherwise produce)

    Packing list FAQs

How do I fit all of this in a carry-on?

Choose lightweight resort fabrics — cotton voile, linen blends, rayon, and silk-blend chiffon — that pack flat and shed wrinkles overnight. Roll, don't fold, and use packing cubes by category. A standard carry-on (22"×14"×9") fits everything on a 7–10 day trip if you stick to resort-weight fabrics and one pair of dress sandals.

What about shoes, accessories, and underthings?

This calculator focuses on outerwear because that's where most travelers over-pack. Standard add-ons: 2 pairs of sandals (1 day, 1 dressy), 1 raffia tote, 1 hat, sunglasses, undergarments for trip length plus 2 spares, and 1 light wrap or kimono. We're working on a shoes & accessories sub-calculator — sign up at the bottom to be notified.

Why does the cruise list include extra pieces?

Cruise itineraries typically include a "formal" or "elegant" night dress code, plus more on-board dinners than land trips. That adds two pieces to the standard list: a halter or one-shoulder maxi for formal night and one polished co-ord set or jumpsuit for embarkation/disembarkation days when shorts feel underdressed.

Is the list different for honeymoon vs. bachelorette?

Yes. Honeymoons skew toward "for two" looks — slightly dressier silhouettes, more sundowner pieces, one statement caftan for the welcome dinner. Bachelorettes prioritize coordinated group looks, bolder prints, and at least one mini for the photo moments. The calculator adjusts for both.

Can I share or embed this calculator?

Yes — use the "Copy share link" button after generating a list to share your specific wardrobe. For media or blog citations, please link to this page directly. We don't currently offer an embeddable widget but it's on the roadmap; email clubmodausa@gmail.com for press requests.
